Too heartbreaking for words.

When I first heard about the shooting at V Tech, my first thoughts were "Those poor kids". I can't even begin to imagine the pain of the victims families. Not to mention the surviving classmates.

I found it ironic that one of the professors that was killed was a Holocaust survivor. The shooting took place on Holocaust Remembrance Day.

I read in the paper today that many of the students are heading home, and some parents drove for HOURS to get to their kid. The paper said that one mom was hugging all of her son's friends telling them "that's from your mom."
I understand the parents driving to be closer to their kids. TRUST me, if it had happened at JBC, I would have left work and drove straight there to be there for Ashley.
I just wonder how many parents and family members that have kids away at college are aching to hold and hug their child/family member now. I know I wish I could. I wonder how many kids away at college called their parents and/or family members up just to say I love you.

My prayers go out to the families of the shooter, his victims, and all the classmates who either lost friends or was injured themselves. I pray they won't be traumatized by this horrible act of hatred. My heart aches for everyone involved.
