On Dec 27th, Brian (Lois's husband) is heading to Guam till March.
Lois said that they will be spending Christmas Eve with his family. On Christmas Day instead of spending it with her family, they decided to spend it alone just the three of them. She said on Dec 26th Brian and Philip will be spending the whole day together just the two of them.
This is going to be hard for all of them, but ESPECIALLY for Philip. Can't imagine how hard it will be for a 10 year old to be apart from his dad that long.

Cabin fever.....
As most of you know my last day of work was Dec 12. We WERE scheduled to return Jan 5, then it got moved to Jan 12, and NOW they are saying Jan 19. HOWEVER Jan 19th is a scheduled holiday, and since I can't see them paying all of us TRIPLE time I have a feeling we will be going back Jan 20th. (It's times like this that I'm glad my supervisor don't mind texting.) ;) Anyway that's 38/39 total DAYS off from work. This is only 25 mins into day 8, and already I'm going nuts.
I haven't left the house this week except church on Sunday, eat out at Red Lobster on Monday for my dad's birthday, and catch Lois's son's, Philip's, Christmas program and then grab lunch afterwards on Wed.
Church Wed night was cancelled due to the slick roads.
So, when my mom said on Sat. "we're going to F. to work on the house. Wanna go?" I JUMPED at the chance. Just to GO somewhere was enough.
However my dad had another idea as we were heading home. Instead of going straight across 31 towards home we went to Indy instead. At first I thought this is strange, and then when we merged onto 465 I thought ok my curiousity is perked. My dad laughed when I said "So..... are we driving around 465 to see how long it takes us?" We ended up at Washington Square mall, which I haven't been to in YEARS. I didn't care about where we went or what we did, just to get out of the house was MORE than enough. ;)
This coming week shouldn't be as bad... After all got church in the morning, heading to F afterwards, got a dress fitting (gag gag. Just kidding Ashley. I can't WAIT to try on my dress. Blah. Can't you just SEE my excitement?? LOL) Monday afternoon, a Jr church/kids club Christmas party Tues evening, and Grandma's for Christmas Day. Only thing is we don't have anything planned for Christmas Eve which just seems wrong somehow.
I know in another couple weeks from now I'll be counting down the days to go back to work. Only thing is when I do go back to work it's going to be a MESS. We lost 47 people in our dept on my shift ALONE. Can't run with whole lines missing.

A Captainless Poppet....
I've NEVER been one to accept change easily. It's always been hard for me when things change. It actually took me YEARS to accept a new pastor when Grandpa and Grandma T moved to F. It wasn't till our current pastor that I was FINALLY able to accept a different pastor. So with that said...........
Last Thursday at work they laid off 300 some people at our factory and not sure how many from Aaron's.. Aaron was one that got laid off indefinitely. He and Chris are taking it better than I expected. Her mom is more upset about it than they are.
With all the layoffs, some people got moved around. Lois is going to a different department on day shift when we come back from Christmas break (which started Dec 13 and ends Jan 12) Which means I won't see her.
No more after work Ihop, Steak N Shake, and Walmart nights. Which also means no going out for lunch either. Also our hours are changing. Instead of 3PM-11, when we go back it will be 3:30PM-12AM. This really STINKS, and it's going to be a HUGE adjustment. Truth is, I'm not up for this kind of adjustment, but there's nothing I can do about it.

Giving the bride a bath????
It's funny how when you're little you completely misunderstand things. I remember my mom mentioning baby showers and I HONESTLY thought "what's the big deal about watching someone give a baby a bath?"
Well, I'm older and wiser and ATTEMPTING to host and put together my first bridal and POSSIBLY baby shower. Yes, you heard me right your's truely is putting together Ashley's bridal shower and Chris's baby shower (IF no one else puts one together for her.)
I know as maid of honor this is my "duty." I guess duty isn't the right word because I'm actually looking a little forward to this challenge. I just have no idea what I'm doing. So of course Google is becoming a REALLY good friend.
Hmmmm. Anyone want to bring the soap??

Bah Humbug!!!!!!!!
Yeah, yeah yeah, two posts in one day. Go figure......
Okay, so this year I'm having a HORRIBLE time getting into the Christmas spirit. I THOUGHT wrapping gifts, putting up lights, buying Christmas for the less fortunate, listening to Christmas cds, watching Christmas movies, and looking at lights would put me in the mood for Christmas, but alas it hasn't.
I just CANT get into it this year. Maybe it's because everything seems so bleak? I don't know. Anyway, anyone have any ideas how to shake this depression I've found myself in??????

Very interesting site I found!!!!!
I was looking for a VERY short lived tv series on dvd. There are no release dates for it on dvd, so I went to a hard to find movies website thing and mentioned I was looking for this series. They referred me to ioffer.com.
This site is AMAZING. You can find and buy just about anything on dvd. They have old made for tv movies from the 80s on it.(They even have the OLD Wonderful World of Disney movies. Remember those?)
HOWEVER the most AMAZING thing I found were the Broadway shows taped and sold for 8-10 bucks per dvd. I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited bout this. They have not only shows NOW but shows that's already closed, with NO WAY of seeing them. All the quality of the shows are A+s-Bs. They even tell you things like "Head in the way in the first 10 mins, or no visual but audio the first 2o mins".
And it works somewhat like Ebay. You make your offer,(Buy, negotiate or trade) and the seller decides to accept or deny it. There's no auctions, only offers. you leave feedback JUST like on Ebay, and they have non paying bidder alerts. Speaking of Ebay you can even grab your feedback rating and move it to ioffer.
It's AMAZING. Oh, and it's not just movies and dvds, also have TONS of other stuff.

Sad day
This morning I walked into the bathroom to get ready for church, and I found my cat, Tabby, curled up in a ball. I thought at first she was sleeping, but when I petted her, I realized she was gone.
This was Ida's youngest cat, and to say I was sad would be grossly underestimated. It will be hard getting used to the quiet, and not hearing her moving around the house or see her running to greet me when I walk into the house after work.
Since the ground is frozen, my dad took her out into the woods and dropped her off.
If anyone needs any cat things like food, carriers, or anything else I may have feel free to ask. I do have a brand new bag of dry cat food I just opened up. Rather give to someone that needs it than to throw it all away.

My terrible, awful,no good, horrible, painful week
As my title explains this has been the WORST week I've had in a LONG time.
My bad week started Monday when I burned my thumb on my right hand and my middle finger on my left hand on a stupid glue gun. I was making turkeys, will get to that later....
I was off work Nov 15-23 due to a down week. I had filed unemployment that Sunday night THINKING I would get paid a day or two before Thanksgiving. WRONG. Didn't show up till today. (Dec 1) That just made me annoyed.
Then the worst of the worst I got sick Wed night. Not sure whether it was a bug or something I ate, so not wanting to sicken anyone I stayed home Thanksgiving day.
WHICH brings me to the turkeys I burned myself on. My pastor's wife made these ADORABLE turkeys using two (Fabric) fall leaves, a couple nuts, pipe cleaners,a piece of yarn, and a marker for the face. I made 2o some of these turkeys, only to FORGET to give them to my mom to take to Carrie's.
So on Thanksgiving Day while eating my WONDERFUL (yes, I'm being sarcastic) Thanksgiving peanut butter sandwich, I was feeling EXTREMELY sorry for myself.. I eventually decided I HAD to do SOMETHING, or I'll be laying in bed feeling even worse for myself. So, I decided to hang up my Christmas lights.
After looking for a while for the lights I finally found them and hung them up AFTER checking to make sure they worked. After I hung them up, I plugged them in only to discover that on one strand only the middle lights worked. It was WEIRD. The ends wont work but the middle few do. So I left them, and will replace them as money allows.
I HOPE my Christmas break is alot better than my Thanksgiving break was.

Calagon take me away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone told me last week that my week would be like this, I would've been tempted to stay in bed and occasionally peek out.
First of all on Tues (the 19th) grandma fell and "broke" her right shoulder. I guess broken bones isn't enough to declare an emergency anymore. She was sent home and told to make a Dr appointment.
She FINALLY got into the Dr on THURSDAY (21). Her shoulder isn't just broke, it's SHATTERED. My dad and Aunt Rebecca pretty much stayed at grandma's 24/7 until Fri when they managed to get her in a nursing home.
I knew my parents were leaving Friday to take Ashley back to school so I called Rebecca up offering my services. (AKA keep grandma company).
Friday afternoon I found out that Rebecca was working on her 61st hour of NO sleep. I left work at 4:45 and sat with grandma till 9:30 when Betty could come in......
Betty was my Aunt Linda's best friend and even though Linda's been gone for 11 years, Betty still stays in touch with the family, and she visits grandma at least once a month. She came in at 9:30 and stayed till 5 AM. She's a dear dear lady.
Now fast forward to Sunday.....
I called Rebecca right after church, and she asked me if I would mind coming out around 6. I thought cool, I can take a nap, eat, and head up. Got there at 6 and Rebecca said grandma's sugar dropped to 24, and gave me the symptoms she started having beforehand.
Rebecca left, and at 9:45 the nurses tried to wake her to take her vitals, she wouldn't wake up. Her sugar had dropped to 17. To say I was panicking would be an understatement. I called Rebecca up and she made a 25 min drive in only 10.
Nurses decided to check her sugar every hour instead of every 4 or 5 like they were doing. I knew Rebecca wouldn't go home, so I stayed with her. Sometime after 4am the nurses suggested we go home. Rebecca went over to grandma's while I went on home.
Even though I didn't get to bed till sometime after 5, I still managed to go to work. Because of that one night, my sleep schedule is messed up. I've been going to bed at 5 (6:30 this morning) and getting up at 11.
Don't worry Aunt Carol and Carrie, I'm working on getting to bed at a decent hour. LOL. I got up at my normal time, and I refuse to take a nap. I'm zonked. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

What a week.....
My life has been so busy lately.
First of all, I went to Mason's funeral Thursday (10th). My boss gave me a paid day off, so I wouldn't have to rush back to work. I rode to the funeral with my pastor and wife. Really didn't want to go by myself.
PARENTAL WARNING........
If you are a parent or work regularly with little ones PLEASE NEVER EVER EVER LET THEM IN WATER WITHOUT FLOATIES!!!!!!!!! Little Mason always wore them except this last time, and his sisters didn't think he needed them. Sadly it turned into a tragic mistake. Even if you think your child will be fine, don't risk it.
Okay, enough of that..Back to my week.
We, all three plants, are on a one week layoff this week. So between tearing off my back porch and replacing the rotted wood, scraping and priming my house, painting my front porch swing, painting my house (tomorrow HOPEFULLY), going to Ivanhoe's for ice cream, going to Indy with Lois, and my sister and I having the swimming pool all to ourselves (or swimming alone a couple times) It's been a pretty busy week.
The funny thing about all this is, I go back to work on Monday, work the week, and I'm on vacation the following week. There's rumors that we are going to have another layoff week in August. Thought about canceling my vacation, but NAH. Might as well take it.
Sad news... Lois is planning on going to Midnights in August, and there is a big possibility that Brian, her husband, may be going to Iraq in November/early Dec for 4-8 months. That's the main reason she's bumping to 3rds. She told me that if he has to go to Iraq, I'm moving in with her and Philip. Or at least be there while she's at work, which would mean I would have to make sure he's up for school and fix his breakfast. Truth is, it's the least I can do for the war effort. Ha ha ha ha.

Please remember in your prayers
I am blogging this with a very heavy heart. You will probably be reading about this in Monday's paper or perhaps you saw it on the news Sunday evening...
A little 4 year old boy drowned Sunday in a lake. His sisters were with him while their parents were fishing a little further away. The boy, Mason, got water in his lungs, panicked, and the sisters lost their grip on him. He went under and never resurfaced. They found him an hour later in 8 feet of water.
The saddest part is one of the sisters, Emily, is in my Sunday school class. She had been working very hard to talk her parents into letting her bring Mason with her to Sunday school.
My heart goes out to the family. Going to try to go to either the viewing or the funeral. I want Emily to know I care about her and her family.

My life update......
I know it's been awhile since I posted. Yes, my computer is still crashed, but I'm gradually learning to live without it. I'll try to bring everyone up to date in one post.............
First of all CONGRATULATIONS to Austin for graduating high school. GOOD LUCK AUSTIN, we're VERY proud of you.
Second, Lois's husband had to go to Turkey for a couple weeks for the military. She needed a babysitter, and since I couldn't do it (We work same shift) Ashley took the job.
So after 11 days of making forts and castles, lighting LOTS of sparklers, watching Alvin and the Chipmunks two to three times a day (Ashley even started dreaming about them), sitting through a tornado, having last min "Do you mind staying till 3 AM, and dealing with a 9 year old that REALLY missed his parents Ashley was ready to have this job over with.
Although most nights she couldn't stay till 3, I would go over after work and send her home. I spent 4 nights this past week with Lois and Philip. I would tease Lois and say... "Yeah, we can stay up all night swap manly stories, and in the morning I'm making Waffles." (That's from Shrek if you didn't know). Their couch is the most COMFORTABLE couch I've EVER slept on.... Note to self: Find out where they got it.
It was strange to wake up in the morning with a little face in front of mine whispering "Miss Angie? Are you awake?" That's one thing I have to hand to his parents, they have him put Miss in front of our names. So it's always Miss Angie and Miss Ashley. I'm impressed.
I've spent more time with Lois and Philip these last couple weeks than I ever have. Whether it started with a phone call saying "Miss Angie, could you please come over and spend time with us?" or eating breakfast before taking Philip to school, or even going to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. I have to admit it has been a blast.
Oh, the B2??? Works!!!!! Had a small headache the other day, but I KNOW it's due to lack of sleep these few weeks. Normally I would've had a HUGE one (perhaps a migraine) last Friday during the SEVER storms we had, but NOTHING.
Speaking of storms...... The storm hit K while I was at work. Completely FLOODED the street beside the factory, and two cars stalled. The water was up to the car door windows.
My sister, Who was babysitting, was scared when the tornado sirens went off. My dad, who had to get up at 4 to go to work, DROVE to Lois's and sat in the cubby hole under the stairs till Lois got home from work (11:15). Philip was just as scared as Ashley was, and dad's presence helped put their minds at ease. However, how he ever got in the little bitty crawl space with Ashley and Philip I will NEVER know.
Since I wasn't sure what the road conditions were, I crashed on Lois's couch one last night......
Brian, Lois's husband, came home Sunday night, and I can't even imagine that father and son reunion.

Heading to the mall
I have to go to the mall SOON. When I say soon I mean as in by Friday. If certain family members wants some B2, I don't mind picking it up for you.
I have to get my mom's birthday and mother's day gifts, and Austin's graduation gift. Got ideas of what to get my mom, but not completely sure exactly WHAT to get. If you know what I mean.

Day 20
It is now day 20 of my B2 experiment, and I have to say there were a few days I forgot to take it. But I have found an improvement. I've noticed it's not a cure, but it really does cut down the headaches. I should've had more headaches, but I've only had one since starting this.
My headache rain radar is now broken. Didn't even have the slightest headache last night at work. It was a surprise to walk outside after work and realize it had rained, and I had NO CLUE.
Also, I usually have migraines in the spring and fall. Last year I had a four day migraine. This year???? NOTHING YET.
Here's an interesting tidbit of information... Have you ever had a headache, took ibprophan, and got another or a worse one when it wore off? I discovered recently that tylenol, advil, ect.. are made to CAUSE rebound headaches. It doesn't take away the headache completely, it causes them. That is one of the reasons I'm doing this experiment.

ATTENTION FELLOW HEADACHE SUFFERERS!!!!
I'm not really back, but Austin and dad are both in bed, so I have a few "stolen" moments to blog a bit..........
I was reading a newspaper article recently about vitamin B2 curing headaches. Now this person claimed that he/she suffered from every type of headache from minor to clutter headaches and everything in between for 30 years. They started taking 200 mg of Vitamin B2 everyday and in 30 days they haven't had a headache in a decade.
Now, as a fellow headache/migraine/allergy headache sufferer, I JUMPED (okay, maybe not literally, but I did get excited.) The thought of never having another headache is VERY appealing. So, I decided to try this "cure".
First thing I noticed is you can't buy it in WalMart. They have B6 and B12, but no B2. Well one Friday Lois textd and said she was at the mall, so I asked her to see if they had B2 at the health food store there in the mall. Sure enough they did, and she was nice enough to buy it for me. 100, 100mg tablets cost $4.50. Not bad if it works. I was also impressed that they aren't huge horse pills. They are very reasonable size and easy to swallow, which is an added plus.
I'm only on day 11, so I will make sure to blog my findings after the 30 day "kick in" time. I do believe it works, since I didn't realize it rained the other day. Which is a miracle since I can predict rain. I ALWAYS get headaches anywhere between 12 hours to 5 mins before a rainstorm. Lois tells me that I can predict rain better than any weather radar, and my head NEVER lies. I DID NOT get a headache Friday night, so I think if this isn't a "cure" at least it's a slow down my headaches.
I will keep you updated on my findings. This could be the breakthrough of headache suffering.

I'm still alive
I KNOW I haven't blogged since Dec 20. That was shortly before my computer died and my so called computer is still dead. I have had absolutely no or very LIMITED computer access since Dec 20.
I am borrowing my parent's computer until someone (Austin or dad) kicks me off.
I honestly can say that it has broken my computer addiction, so I guess you can say I've been in "Computer rehab". LOL.
Anyway, if you've blogged and I haven't commented on your blog it's because I
1. Haven't had time to read your blog (Brother/dad demanding the computer)
or
2. I read it, but didn't have time to comment (See part B of above)
Someday SOON I hope to get my computer back up and running. Until then keep blogging so I have TONS to read and comment about when I get my computer up.
