What a weekend. Is it over yet?
This weekend hasn't been a very good one. Ashley and I were going to go to the city wide yard sales, but got rained out. Very disappointing. But the worst part was.... I guess it starts on Thursday. I noticed that my water pressure was way down, but that's city water for you. The city likes to flush out the hydrants once in a while, and that does some weird things to our water which sometimes includes changing the water smell and/or color, and sometimes the pressure for a day or two. So, I thought nothing about it.......... UNTIL today......... After church, I heard water running under my house by the outdoor spigot. Well after having my mom help investigate, we discovered that yes, I do have a water leak. So, I took my flashlight down to my cobweb invested basement (I hate going down there by the way.), and followed the pipe to the valve. So, I shut it off, and thankfully it only shut the water off outside, not inside. I still have hot/cold water inside my house, which is a VERY important thing. The other bad thing is, my basement is only a PARTIAL basement, so we'll (aka my dad) will have to cut the pipe, pull it through, and splice it with another. I think I may just wait a little while for that.... Or should I say, work a couple Saturdays to be able to buy the materials. It's days like this I feel like selling my house and just renting. Aww..... The joys of owning your own home.

Ahhhh....girl....I'm sorry life's been a bummer the last several days. I'd hoped you were feeling better after your "down" Wednesday. I couldn't think of a good suggestion for a pick-me-up (unless it would be chocolate) but I did it would pass swiftly.
Too bad about the yard sales...maybe they'll reschedule them for a later date....now that Brennan's birthday is over. :-)
Hey could be worse about your water leak! Did I ever tell you about a water leak we got the summer Ida was sick? We're on a slab and the pipes are in concrete...not a pretty picture if you get a leak :(
We would have had to jackhammer the up floor in Jeremy's room (that's where the line came in at) and the hallway and the bathroom. AAARRRGGGHHH!! We elected not to do that and instead ran a new line from the meter outside across the driveway (had to dig that up), dug up the yard alongside the garage about half-way and then cut back through the garage (had to jackhammer the floor the width of the garage) to run the line in that way. Feelin' better?
Well, this broken pipe runs through the concrete of my foundation. Yeah, it really is a bummer. Got any houses to rent? I could move in within a week, and you KNOW you wouldn't have to worry about me not paying. LOL.
