They were taken Oct. 27, 2002. It was Pastor Appriciation Sunday, and the church wanted to honor them. The idea of being baptized while they were there was a spontanious thing. I had to send SEVERAL emails to different church members to make sure it was possible.. Sure enough, it was. I don't think my grandparents had any idea how much of an influence they were in my life. They belonged by my side on that day, and I wouldn't have had it any other way.

I was wanting to be baptized earlier that May, but that's when Grandma had her heart attack. Austin went ahead and got baptized, and I told Bro. W. that I wanted to postpone it until grandma and grandpa was there. I was kindof wanting grandpa to actually HELP, but I realized later that he would've been able to do it. I remember looking at grandpa as I came up, and he was crying.
