My cousin loaned me a book, "The Oath"by Frank Peretti. I've been reading some every night before going to bed. Whether that's a good idea or not, I haven't really decided yet.I do have a tendency of sleep walking and talking in my sleep. I've been known to walk around my house locking my screen doors because I thought someone was trying to get in. I've even woke up the next morning to find that I locked my bedroom door and I don't have a need to lock that. Oh, and once I sat up in bed and yelled at a coworker? family member? for trying to take over my bed.
So skip to last night...........
Last night I kept having this wild dream about somebody trying to steal my pillows. Yes, you heard me right, my PILLOWS. At one point, I sat up in bed and yelled
"Now you stop taking my pillows. Leave my pillows alone." I awoke the next morning with BOTH of my pillows under my head,(I usually only use one) and I had a death grip on them.
Now whether that has anything to do with this book or not, I really don't know. but I did have a good laugh once I woke up and realized what I did and said. Oh, and of course I HAD to share that with my mom and sister. Mom thought it was hilarious.
Are there any other family members that sleep walk/talk? I'm just curious.

Ha! Mom (and Robert) could tell you some good stories about me. This week it was bugs. I woke myself up swatting gnats and other flying insects. I know I woke Robert up once, but I'm sure he doesn't remember it. For some reason that one is pretty vivid and I'm still feeling itchy!
I've also tried to take the sheets off the bed (while Robert was still in them) and woke up in various parts of the house trying to do things (once I wake up, I usually can't remember why I'm doing what I'm doing).
I'll let mom tell some stories now!
I'm glad I'm not the only one that walks around at night. Thankfully I haven't tried driving in my sleep. That wouldn't be a good thing.
So far I've pushed and kicked different family members out of my bed several times, I've tried cleaning in my sleep, and once I even washed a load of laundry. It's also common for me to dream about being at work and sit up and actually doing what I do at work.
The worst is the time.... I had a dream that my young daughter woke up with a nightmare and asked if she could sleep in my bed with me. So I sat up, threw the blankets off of me, and scooted over to make room for her before I woke up and realized I DON'T EVEN HAVE a daughter. Pretty pathetic aren't I?
Mostly though Is spend the time keeping people out of my house/bed. Hey, at least I'm not the only one.
I don't think I walked in my sleep but I used to talk. Don't know if I still do since Larry sleeps so soundly he doesn't hear me.
Jeremy would grind his teeth in his sleep if he was stressed.
Now, Ida was one to walk in her sleep. I heard stories of her walking in her sleep in Haiti. She also told me plenty of stories of things she woke up doing when she was an adult.
Hey, that's a great idea of cleaning the house or doing laundry while you're asleep. Wanna come spend some nights at my house? I'll show you where all the cleaning supplies are and how to work my washer and dryer! LOL
if my cell phone rings while I'm asleep I'll answer it and have a perfectly rational conversation. You won't know it but I'll be completely asleep. My friends think that is the best lol. I won't remember that we talked or anything.
I'm also an expert at convensing you I'm awake when I'm asleep if you are trying to wake me up. It's pretty funny to me after I wake up...unless I'm late to something.
Mom always hated it when I had to go to school... you should ask her to tell you stories...
I also chatter my teeth when I'm asleep... I don't grind them I just make that teeth clicky sound like I'm eating something... it's weird...I think I started doing it rescently.... Jo Beth would tell me about it and how annoying it is
Angela, I've had an interesting week this week with my sleep talking. I kept Robert up most of the night last night because I thought there was paint on the bed. I'll have to e-mail you about it later!
