Migraines, Break out the Relpax!!!!!!

I woke up at 7 AM Sat morning with a killer migraine. Anyone who knows me KNOWS I am NEVER awake at 7 AM. Especially on a Sat.

My doctor prescribed Relpax for my migraines. However, there was only 6 pills in the pack.

I took a Relpax, grabbed an ice pack and went back to bed. Since it hurt my head to lay down, I had to prop myself up.

Anyway, around 5 PM, my head had only a dull ache, but the flashing lights/throbbing headache was gone.

At 8, I was watching The Waltons, and suddenly there were "lights" on the tv. The only way to describe it is if you're looking at the people on tv,you can see the bottom part, their top part, and a BIG white hole through the rest of them. THANKFULLY I only took 1 Relpax that morning, and I was able to take a second one. (I'm only allowed to take 2 tablets in a 24 hour period.)

So, I fell asleep around 8PM, and woke up at 8 the next morning. Yes, my migraine was still there. I knew there was no way I could drive to church, so after calling my "sub", I took another pill, and went back to sleep.
My head finally cleared up completely around 3 PM, 32 hours after the migraine first started. That was the WORST weekend I've had in a long time. I did manage to sleep 26 of the 32 hours.

I've been known to take a long Sunday afternoon nap, but this is a new record.

The only thing I could think of,is that it snowed Fri night/sat morning. Sometimes when there's a drastic change in the weather, I get bad headaches. I just wonder if the snow had anything to do with it.

I think I may have to make another appointment with my doctor and ask for something a tad bit stronger than Relpax. I'm also thinking of having him put me on the FMLA plan. After all,if this migraine had happened during a work week,(Thank you Jesus, it wasn't) I would've had to call in 2 days in a row. Not good when the absenteism program is the pits.

Now I'm feeling great!!!!!!
