I was trying to find something "new" to read. (After all, you can only read so many Holocaust books before you need something a little "lighter".) So, after reading Carrie's blog (hi cousin!!!) I decided to read "Big Girls Don't Whine."
I HATE buying new books now. Ever since I discovered eBay and Amazon, I can't justify spending $15 or more for a new book when you can buy the same thing for a portion of that price.
After waaaaaaaiting for it to come in, it finally arrived today. I read the whole book tonight at work. Yes, I was a "big girl" and did pick up on things that I need to work on, but I also was able to say "Yes, I'm a big girl in that area of my life." I decided that I want my friends and family to be able to say "Yes, she's a big girl." Unless you've read the book, you'll have no idea what I'm talking about.
It an AMAZING book, which I will pass on to my mom to read. I'm even thinking about sending it to Ashley to read. I think this is a book that EVERY woman should read.
So, thank you Carrie for inspiring me to read the book. It's awesome. :)

Thanks! I also think EVERY woman should read it. How do you think we should go about doing that? I'd buy them as gifts, but I wouldn't want anyone to think I was implying anything! :)
I'm not sure, but I KNOW with Ashley it would be easy. She LOVES self-help type books. It's ironic. She NEVER liked to read, but since she's in school and her textbooks are these types of books, she now loves them. She brings home her "books" and says "You HAVE to read these books. They're awesome." She brought home at least 10 books last summer. (Yes, my mom has read all the books.)
Seriously though, I think giving them as gifts would be best. If they are "big girls" they won't be offended. If they are, well then MAYBE they DO need the book after all. :)
I've already loaned my copy to my mom.
I've read that book and it IS good! I still need to apply alot of it to my life. Carrie has a knack for finding good books for reading. She bought me an awesome book one time that I basically used as a devotional book and that one was "The Power of a Praying Woman" by Stormie OMartian. It is simply excellent!!
