Recipes.........

As someone who LOVES easy and quick recipes, I'm going to share a couple of my favorite dessert recipes................
In honor of Carrie, who loves this cake....... ;)
Strappleberry (dump) cake

1 can crushed pineapple don't drain
1 can strawberry pie filling
1 yellow cake mix (Works best if it's NOT a moist or pudding kind. Oh, and the cheap Jiffy brand cake mix works great on this.)
2 sticks of butter

Preheat oven to 350. In a 13x9 baking dish layer pineapple, pie filling, and cake mix DO NOT MIX. cut butter into pats and place them on top. Bake 40 mins or until golden brown. Let cool and enjoy with ice cream or plain. Or chill in the fridge and cut into bars. You can also experiment with different fruits and fillings.

My EASY way of making Puppy Chow

1 c chocolate chips
1/2 c creamy peanut butter
1 stick butter
9 c chex cereal
2 c powder sugar

Put chex cereal into a big mixing bowl, set aside.. melt chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter in microwave for 1 min. stir, if still lumpy cook at 30 second intervals until smooth. Pour over cereal. Gently stir cereal till evenly coated, and set aside. put powder sugar in a brown paper bag, dump in cereal mixture shake well. Store in air tight container.

Amish Peanut Butter Spread

1/2 c creamy peanut butter
1/4 c marshmallow creme
1 c light corn syrup

In a medium mixing bowl combine the peanut butter, marshmallow creme, and corn syrup. Stir with a rubber spatula until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined. Place the mixture in a covered container and refrigerate overnight. Allow the spread to come to room temperature before serving on bread or over ice cream.


I just realized that only one of these recipes actually calls for baking. Hmmmm. Does melting stuff in a microwave count as cooking? Well, I told you these were easy and fast recipes. LOL.
